Vacation Time Over . . . Back To Work

I took the rest of my vacation time August 30-31 and Sept 4-7--see how many people missed me while I was gone.  It was a nice vacation, although I did not get to do what I wanted to do, that is Ok another time when there is more money to work with.

I did manage to make it to the 155th Annual Fulton County Fair a couple of days out of fair week--it was worth it, I have not been to the fair in awhile, enjoyed the days I did go and of course had the fair food!  I even seen a few people I had not seen in a few years and talked with them.

Maybe next year, I can plan a nice trip for me and the family maybe by then there will be a little extra money to work with--it was just nice to spend time at home with the family and take a couple days and go the the fair.

I shall return to the world of the working and living and see what awaits me at my desk at work--get back into work mode from vacation mode--get back into the swing of things after a little over a week away from work.  See if I was missed during my vacation.

 The last two weeks have been very rough, the Fiscal Officer/Assistant Director that worked with me at Wauseon Public Library passed away after a battle with bone cancer, besides being my boss when the Library Director was gone, she was also a friend and I will miss her dearly she was so much fun to work with, she could always make you laugh, she was a wonderful person I feel so blessed that I got to work with her the last six years--now the library is looking for a part-time Fiscal Officer. With the passing of our Fiscal Officer/Assistant Director, another change was made, the board eliminated the Assistant Director Position and those duties were transferred to me under my new Job Title that I was given in October of 2022 as Head Librarian, with the added duties my pay was increased--yes I am pleased with the pay increase (my pay was increased once I accepted the Head Librarian Position), but the circumstances for the added duties and pay increase came at the loss of losing our Fi...

The Holidays Are Upon Us

Thanksgiving 2012 has been here and gone already as the Christmas Season Approaches . . . a time to reflect. Our Thanksgiving Celebration was pretty good . . . the turkey was delicious, nice to spend time with family.  My brother took our parents, grandmother, and I to "A Christmas Carol" on Saturday, December 1 at the Valentine Theater in Toledo, Ohio--it was awesome! The Valentine Theater is beautiful on the inside--we had box seats and were very close to the stage.  I could see that again.  He also treated us to a wonderful dinner at Carrabba's in Maumee--the food was delicious and the service was excellent--I would go back there again to eat. I got my Christmas Shopping done early this year.  My mom surprised me by purchasing a new digital camera for me--she gave it to me early so I would have it to use now.  I am getting it learned, took a few pictures of our Christmas Decorations at home and put them on my Facebook page, the pictures turned out really ...

Another Year Older . . . Next Year is the big 40!

My birthday has came and went without incident.  It was a good birthday . . . I am just another year older, and yes another year wiser--Next Year is the big 40 for me and my Cousin Heather--Not planning any big shindig or anything like that--it will just be another day for me and I will enter another decade--Gosh has time flew the coop. I am still a librarian--Gatekeeper of knowledge and next year will start my 9th year at the Public Library I am employed--no big celebration there either--it is hard to believe that I have been working at the public library for almost a decade--again time has flew by and I enjoy working there and working with the people I work with--I could not ask for a better group of Colleagues to work with--makes the days go by fast as well as our interactions with the patrons that come into the library and utilize our services. Alas another birthday has gone by and it was a good birthday!
