Snow White and the Huntsman

I recently purchased Snow White and the Huntsman . . . it is no Children's Fairy Tale that is for sure.  The movie was really good . . . I had gotten mixed reviews of the movie--I decided to get it for myself and watch it--Kristin Stewart is Snow White; Charlize Theron is the Evil Queen--she played that part very well--she is one of my favorite actresses anyhow as is Kristin Stewart; and Chris Hemsworth is the Huntsman.  I just have to watch Mirror, Mirror yet this movie stars Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen--you either like these two movies or you don't--Snow White and the Huntsman was good, I just did not make it to the theater to see and purchased the DVD.  The movie Red Riding Hood is also no Children's Fairy Tale and it keeps you guessing right to the very end.  Another good movie and there again you either like it or you don't.

I also recently watched the Woman in Black starring Daniel Radcliffe best known as Harry Potter and that was a good movie . . . he is one of my favorite actors and has proven he is just not Harry Potter he can do other roles just as good as he did in the Harry Potter movies.  Again you either like this movie or you don't.  I will have to get Mirror Mirror and watch it and decide for myself what I think.

I will admit, I was not sure about Snow White and the Huntsman nor the Woman in Black when I first got them from Amazon.com, but I like both movies and I do not regret buying them and adding them to my personal collection--afterall, there is not much on TV these days I like--except the New Hawaii Five-O; Blue Bloods; CSI: NY; and Criminal Minds these are TV Shows I like and am glad they have all came back for another season, but my CSI: Miami was cancelled--way to go CBS I am not happy about that one, but the other shows on CBS I like.

 The last two weeks have been very rough, the Fiscal Officer/Assistant Director that worked with me at Wauseon Public Library passed away after a battle with bone cancer, besides being my boss when the Library Director was gone, she was also a friend and I will miss her dearly she was so much fun to work with, she could always make you laugh, she was a wonderful person I feel so blessed that I got to work with her the last six years--now the library is looking for a part-time Fiscal Officer. With the passing of our Fiscal Officer/Assistant Director, another change was made, the board eliminated the Assistant Director Position and those duties were transferred to me under my new Job Title that I was given in October of 2022 as Head Librarian, with the added duties my pay was increased--yes I am pleased with the pay increase (my pay was increased once I accepted the Head Librarian Position), but the circumstances for the added duties and pay increase came at the loss of losing our Fi...

The Holidays Are Upon Us

Thanksgiving 2012 has been here and gone already as the Christmas Season Approaches . . . a time to reflect. Our Thanksgiving Celebration was pretty good . . . the turkey was delicious, nice to spend time with family.  My brother took our parents, grandmother, and I to "A Christmas Carol" on Saturday, December 1 at the Valentine Theater in Toledo, Ohio--it was awesome! The Valentine Theater is beautiful on the inside--we had box seats and were very close to the stage.  I could see that again.  He also treated us to a wonderful dinner at Carrabba's in Maumee--the food was delicious and the service was excellent--I would go back there again to eat. I got my Christmas Shopping done early this year.  My mom surprised me by purchasing a new digital camera for me--she gave it to me early so I would have it to use now.  I am getting it learned, took a few pictures of our Christmas Decorations at home and put them on my Facebook page, the pictures turned out really ...

Another Year Older . . . Next Year is the big 40!

My birthday has came and went without incident.  It was a good birthday . . . I am just another year older, and yes another year wiser--Next Year is the big 40 for me and my Cousin Heather--Not planning any big shindig or anything like that--it will just be another day for me and I will enter another decade--Gosh has time flew the coop. I am still a librarian--Gatekeeper of knowledge and next year will start my 9th year at the Public Library I am employed--no big celebration there either--it is hard to believe that I have been working at the public library for almost a decade--again time has flew by and I enjoy working there and working with the people I work with--I could not ask for a better group of Colleagues to work with--makes the days go by fast as well as our interactions with the patrons that come into the library and utilize our services. Alas another birthday has gone by and it was a good birthday!
