Summer is Gone . . . Fall Has Arrived

Summer 2012 is a distant memory until next year.  This past summer was one of the hottest and driest summers I remember--we have had some in recent history . . . 1988, 1995, 2005 are the ones that come to mind.  What does Fall and Winter have is store for the area . . . we will have to wait and see.  I was not looking for it to cool down so quickly, but it did--hopefully this is not what is yet to come if it is, we are in for a long, cold winter--I will be staying in if it is too nasty--don't like winter driving--let's just hope we get enough precipitation between now and by time the planting season begins to bring the water table up and our farmers have better crops next year.

I had not made it to the Fulton County Fair in a few years--made it there this year, glad I went, I enjoyed the few days we did attend the fair and had the fair food--visited with people we knew and had not seen in awhile--it was good to see those we had not seen in awhile.
