The Holidays Are Upon Us

Thanksgiving 2012 has been here and gone already as the Christmas Season Approaches . . . a time to reflect.

Our Thanksgiving Celebration was pretty good . . . the turkey was delicious, nice to spend time with family.  My brother took our parents, grandmother, and I to "A Christmas Carol" on Saturday, December 1 at the Valentine Theater in Toledo, Ohio--it was awesome! The Valentine Theater is beautiful on the inside--we had box seats and were very close to the stage.  I could see that again.  He also treated us to a wonderful dinner at Carrabba's in Maumee--the food was delicious and the service was excellent--I would go back there again to eat.

I got my Christmas Shopping done early this year.  My mom surprised me by purchasing a new digital camera for me--she gave it to me early so I would have it to use now.  I am getting it learned, took a few pictures of our Christmas Decorations at home and put them on my Facebook page, the pictures turned out really good and so far I like the camera.  She wanted to try the 12 Inch Orgreenic Skillet that is part of the Orgreenic Pan Set that has been advertised on TV--so I gave that to her early, so far she likes it.

Work has been busy--the donations of library materials that has came in from the community has been wonderful and we have put about 90% of those donated items on--our patrons notice and the materials are moving.

Do I think 2012 has been a good year . . . Yes it has been a good year for me and my family--one of the best years we have had as a family in quite awhile--for that I am grateful!  I hope this upward trend continues for us as a family and for my fellow Americans that have not had it very good either, let's pray and hope that 2013 will be a better year for more Americans as well as my family--all we can do is take it one day at a time as I have done for a very long time.

God Bless Us Everyone!
