Summer is Officially Here

Summer has officially made its appearance--it was 97 Degrees today (June 19) and tomorrow some areas could break 100 degrees--we will see how long it lasts.

Not too much has happened since the last post--at work we went on a new Information Management System (software program) called Symphony--it is different there is a lot to learn on this new system my colleagues and I will all get there, it will just take some time.  We are getting mixed reviews from our regular patrons--some like some don't like it at all, but they know they will have to get used to it.

There was nothing on TV tonight after I got home from work so I decided to listen to some of my songs I have saved on my computer as I am catching up with Facebook, Twitter and my blog. 

This evening was the first Super Cruise in my hometown of Wauseon, Ohio--looked like they had a good turn out--the next Super Cruise will be the third Tuesday of July and the last one will be the third Tuesday in August--the last Tuesday in August will be the last Cruise night till next year.  Hard to believe 2012 is half way over with--the year is flying by fast.

    It's very good which we have actually printed hence absorbing report.I am simply glad which I discovered ones website. Now I am anticipating study different, intriguing content.

 The last two weeks have been very rough, the Fiscal Officer/Assistant Director that worked with me at Wauseon Public Library passed away after a battle with bone cancer, besides being my boss when the Library Director was gone, she was also a friend and I will miss her dearly she was so much fun to work with, she could always make you laugh, she was a wonderful person I feel so blessed that I got to work with her the last six years--now the library is looking for a part-time Fiscal Officer. With the passing of our Fiscal Officer/Assistant Director, another change was made, the board eliminated the Assistant Director Position and those duties were transferred to me under my new Job Title that I was given in October of 2022 as Head Librarian, with the added duties my pay was increased--yes I am pleased with the pay increase (my pay was increased once I accepted the Head Librarian Position), but the circumstances for the added duties and pay increase came at the loss of losing our Fi...

The Holidays Are Upon Us

Thanksgiving 2012 has been here and gone already as the Christmas Season Approaches . . . a time to reflect. Our Thanksgiving Celebration was pretty good . . . the turkey was delicious, nice to spend time with family.  My brother took our parents, grandmother, and I to "A Christmas Carol" on Saturday, December 1 at the Valentine Theater in Toledo, Ohio--it was awesome! The Valentine Theater is beautiful on the inside--we had box seats and were very close to the stage.  I could see that again.  He also treated us to a wonderful dinner at Carrabba's in Maumee--the food was delicious and the service was excellent--I would go back there again to eat. I got my Christmas Shopping done early this year.  My mom surprised me by purchasing a new digital camera for me--she gave it to me early so I would have it to use now.  I am getting it learned, took a few pictures of our Christmas Decorations at home and put them on my Facebook page, the pictures turned out really ...

Another Year Older . . . Next Year is the big 40!

My birthday has came and went without incident.  It was a good birthday . . . I am just another year older, and yes another year wiser--Next Year is the big 40 for me and my Cousin Heather--Not planning any big shindig or anything like that--it will just be another day for me and I will enter another decade--Gosh has time flew the coop. I am still a librarian--Gatekeeper of knowledge and next year will start my 9th year at the Public Library I am employed--no big celebration there either--it is hard to believe that I have been working at the public library for almost a decade--again time has flew by and I enjoy working there and working with the people I work with--I could not ask for a better group of Colleagues to work with--makes the days go by fast as well as our interactions with the patrons that come into the library and utilize our services. Alas another birthday has gone by and it was a good birthday!
