Beautiful Weather

The weather here has been gorgeous the last few days--another gorgeous day tomorrow as well and into next week we may see some 80 Degree weather.  Dare I say Spring has officially arrived or am I thinking too soon for the warm weather to stay--I hope it is here to stay--we have already sprung ahead one hour now we just need the warm weather to stay around.

I am slowly getting the hang of my Amazon Kindle Fire--I like it and it is easy to use and whatever I send to it is there immediately. 

I also hope I am getting the hang of blogging (I got a Blogging for Dummies Book that I have not opened up yet to look at, but it is right here by the computer). I hope with practice I get better at blogging.

The Holidays Are Upon Us

Thanksgiving 2012 has been here and gone already as the Christmas Season Approaches . . . a time to reflect. Our Thanksgiving Celebration was pretty good . . . the turkey was delicious, nice to spend time with family.  My brother took our parents, grandmother, and I to "A Christmas Carol" on Saturday, December 1 at the Valentine Theater in Toledo, Ohio--it was awesome! The Valentine Theater is beautiful on the inside--we had box seats and were very close to the stage.  I could see that again.  He also treated us to a wonderful dinner at Carrabba's in Maumee--the food was delicious and the service was excellent--I would go back there again to eat. I got my Christmas Shopping done early this year.  My mom surprised me by purchasing a new digital camera for me--she gave it to me early so I would have it to use now.  I am getting it learned, took a few pictures of our Christmas Decorations at home and put them on my Facebook page, the pictures turned out really ...

Jack the Giant Slayer

I finally watched Jack the Giant Slayer while I was off work on my Staycation this past week.  It was good, definitely a different spin on Jack and the Beanstalk.  The movie is rated PG-13 it may frighten the younger children, then again maybe not.  I am glad I decided to add it to my personal collection. It is definitely not the Children's version of the story we read about as children. These updated versions of the Children's Stories we have read as children is definitely not for children's viewing, but at the same time kids today do surprise us. I have Red Riding Hood'; Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters; Snow White and the Huntsman; Mirror, Mirror, Oz the Great and Powerful; Thor; Jack the Giant Slayer; Beastly.  They are so not your children's tales, but they are all good and I do recommend anyone to watch them and judge for themselves--these kinds of movies are right up my alley and like them and glad to have them in my own personal collection.  So if you...
