Random Thoughts . . .

Alas Winter 2013-2014 has came and went--I am not sorry to see it go, we surpassed the snowfall from the Blizzard of 1977-78--ended up with 85 inches of snow for the Toledo, Ohio area . . . Wow! I have not seen that much snow in my life time, I was little when the Blizzard of 1977-78 went through, don't remember too much about it.  I am glad Spring has arrived, even though Old Man Winter does not want to let go yet! It will warm up later this week and I hope it continues to warm up . . . wonder what type of summer we are going to have?  I guess we will have to wait and see.

I have watched a few movies since my last post to the blog.  The first one I seen was "Hunger Games: Catching Fire" that was a really good movie it is as good as the first one, but I am going to re-watch the first one so I can remember what happened. I also watched "Pacific Rim" that was different, but it was good, there is likely going to be another part to that one. I also watched "Frozen" that was good as well, these are just my personal opinions of course, others may or may not like these movies, if you get the chance, watch them and make you own judgments about them. I want to see "The Butler" yet, "Homefront", and "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2" and see how they are. I also saw "Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" that was a really good movie, it follows the book of the same title quite close.

I have actually had the chance to catch up on my reading a little bit as well--I am wrapping up reading the "Iron Fey" series by Julie Kagawa--very good series, I was hooked on it from Book 1--I have recommended the series to a couple other people and they loved it, which makes me feel good. I have read the first three books in the Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare they are good, I will be reading the last 3 in that series as soon as I get my leisure reading books unearthed in my storage unit and get them brought home to enjoy.

My grandmother is still doing quite well at Fulton Manor Nursing Home--she is definitely reading more, which I knew she would when she got to feeling better--I have so far kept ahead of her with getting books--just had about 6 more books taken over to her to add to the 4 she had left to read yet, went to see her yesterday, and she had another one done--when I go back to work tomorrow, I will have to get some more placed on hold for her to give them a chance to come into the library from inter-library loans. She is involved with a lot of activities there at Fulton Manor--that is good so it keeps her active so she is not sitting around with nothing to do, it is nice to go in and see her and have a normal conversation with her.

Finally, after six months of phone calls, E-Mails, and Enrollment through the Health Car.gov website, I will have some Health Insurance through Care Source--their Just 4 Me Silver Policy. It is only going to cost me about $80 a month with the subsidy I qualified for through the Health Care.gov website. It includes vision and dental--both my Eye Doctor and Family Doctor accept the Care Source Plans--I can breath a sigh of relief.
